Job Title: Senior Financial Service Representative (SFSR)

Reports to: Assistant Branch Manager

Department: Retail Banking

Status: Non-Exempt



General Summary:

Effectively meet the financial needs of our customers by providing quality products and excellent “Real people, Real attention” customer service. Process customer transactions, open deposit accounts, cover vault area, effectively refer products and services, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, bank operations and security procedures by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop an understanding of Cascade Bank’s history, goals, philosophy and how they relate.

Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement, negotiability and check hold requirements, and enter transactions via on-line terminal.

Answer questions of a general nature for customers regarding their accounts.

Keep informed of new programs, service and accounts and changes in policies and procedures.

Reconcile cash drawer.

Accomplish bank sales goals by referring customers to bank products.

Model company core values and service standards.

Present a professional, positive image that reflects well on the individual and the organization.

May be responsible for vault cash.

Perform branch functions requiring complete knowledge of branch transaction. Functions are not limited to but may include: returned items, wire transfers stop payments, closing accounts, money orders, bank checks, foreign currency exchange.

Informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customer’s needs.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing scorecard and campaign goals.

Support branch management with feedback, reports and training.
May perform supervisory duties in the absence of the assistant manager or manager.

Perform branch functions requiring an in-depth knowledge of branch transactions. Functions may include but are not limited to: Monthly cash counts, cash control, open all new deposit products, preparing CTR reports, balancing ATM, accepting loan applications and ascertaining customer’s needs.

Complies with bank operations and security procedures by adhering to government regulation, bank policy, and established procedures. Ensures successful branch certifications.

Verify and approve complex and difficult transactions for staff within established limits.

Originate and/or respond to correspondence, maintain and/or complete reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. May perform supervisory duties in absence of the assistant manager or manager.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year retail experience and a minimum of one year Cascade Bank FSR experience or a minimum of three years of other retail banking experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Skills and Abilities
Two consecutive quarters of scorecards with a rating of an exceeds or higher.

Service Star program needs to be completed and turned in regularly.

Must have strong product knowledge and have acted as branch captain for product campaigns.

Successful completion of Cascade Bank's Senior FSR Program.
