SENIOR CREDIT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Significant experience in Credit Administration and Lending with strong knowledge and experience in the overall credit risk function. Must be familiar with the bank’s policies and procedures in commercial lending, as well as the regulations governing consumer lending and credit. Should be analytical and a good judge of personal character. Must have demonstrated strong management, interpersonal, communication and sales skills. Supervises and performs duties in the bank’s loan administration function including, but not limited to, underwriting, loan compliance, loan operations and training. Monitors loans for regulatory compliance and concentrations. Oversees credit write-ups and the loan files, as well as ongoing monitoring. Assists in managing special asset loans. Ideal candidate must be able to multi-task within a growing small bank environment with limited resources.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides guidance and training for the bank’s loan administration function.

Assists in analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; to determine the advisability of granting credit for advanced/diversified types of loans; writes loan requests; promotes business for the bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Ensures the bank is in regulatory compliance and loans are underwritten for safety and soundness.

Ensures loans are extended according to the bank’s established policies and procedures and monitored as underwritten.

Maintains current knowledge of regulations governing the bank’s credit function and ensures compliance.

Assists in monitoring the loan portfolio for concentrations, delinquency and nonaccrual status.

Serves on the bank’s Executive Loan Committee.

Reports to the EVP, Chief Risk Officer regarding the status of the bank’s loan portfolio.

Participates in community activities to increase the bank’s visibility.

Skill Requirements
10 years financial institution management experience in credit administration and lending environment, with a minimum of 2 years in commercial and business lending required. Strong financial analysis skills required with an understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles. Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance recommended.

Self directed with strong independent decision making capabilities. Must be forward thinking, proactive, growth oriented, and a team player.

Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

Must possess knowledge of applicable regulations and keep abreast of changes.

Must be able to communicate effectively with directors, officers, customers, staff, and other employees of the bank.

Customer service skills and public relations skills a high priority.

Excellent managerial, communications and organizational skills required.
