Job Description
Serving Clark County since 1982, the Columbia River Economic Development Council is a proactive, results-oriented public/private partnership working with over 130 investors to assist business relocation to, or expansion in Clark County. It is charged with promoting job creation and investment while maintaining the county's exceptional environment and high quality of life.

The CREDC serves as a "one-stop shop" specializing in site location and acquisition, business data and demographics, and process facilitation. The CREDC achieves its goals through visionary thinking and strategic relationships. It continually delivers quick and efficient business relocations and expansions.

We seek a team-oriented professional with a strong skill set in relationship building, marketing and communications. Our ideal candidate is a connector who strikes a balance by using strong initiative, judgment and creative problem solving abilities within the general framework of council procedures and norms.

We are looking for a manager who is personable, professional, energetic, resourceful, and thrives in a complex, fast-paced work environment. The Manager of Investor Relations reports directly to the CREDC President. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining and managing investor relationships and records, including billing and accounts management.
• Staffing and supporting the Council Investor Committees with marketing, recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Providing customer service to Council investors.
• Preparing reports, newsletters and other communications to stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Investors, Governmental Agencies and Contractors.
• Managing Council project grants by preparing grant applications and periodic reports and coordinating billing as necessary.
• Contacting prospective investors directly to share information about CREDC services and benefits.
• Preparing the Council’s marketing and recruitment materials.
• Ensuring maintenance of the Council’s Web site and Web initiatives.
• Organizing and managing a variety of CREDC activities and events.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for up to one week.

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of two-year degree in communications, marketing or consultative sales fields; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of increasingly responsible communications, business development and/ or marketing experience in a professional environment.
• Marketing and event planning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation and customer service abilities.
• Utilizes significant initiative and professional judgment.
• Demonstrates teamwork and organizational skills.
• Supportive with the ability to follow general instructions.
• Experience using web publishing software in an editing capacity is desirable.
• Proficient with Windows based computer systems; Access familiarity is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license required.
