Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our care team in our ‘state of the art’ Senior Living Community. Our nursing staff provides direct care and support to the people we serve to help them achieve desired lifestyles and increased levels of independence, and social/physical integration. Tasks of our Charge Nurse include: • Monitors the daily care of all residents. • Performs skilled nursing tasks as needed. • Documents observations, concerns, and changes in resident conditions along with other documentation and follow-up to resolution. • Communicates with family members, physicians, and other outside healthcare providers. • Records and implements physician orders. • Supervises Caregiver staff and ensures resident service plans are updated and implemented by Caregivers. • Monitors performance of caregivers for compliance with established policies and procedures, and to ensure quality resident care. • Acts as Manager on Duty for assigned shift in absence of Executive Director or Director of Health Services. The successful candidate will have: • The ability to exert 20 - 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10 - 25 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. • The ability to bend, twist, squat and/or reach frequently and consistently while performing tasks. • The ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly. • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. • Strong documentation skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Current Oregon State LPN/LVN License required. Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
