Job Description
As the Produce Manager you will be responsible for working closely with the Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers, and Produce Supervisor in order to create the Mega Foods environment and ensure the success of the store and department through excellent customer service and a demonstrated passion for food. The Produce Manager may assist in the process of interviewing and selecting produce employees to achieve the vision of Mega Foods. The Produce Manager will demonstrate a high level of integrity with department products, with department employees and our customers. A respect for detail by the Produce Manager will ensure that we remain focused on creating a wonderful experience for both our employees and customers. The Produce Manager will ensure the prioritization and delegation of daily responsibilities throughout the department while training, coaching, and leading employees. the Mega Foods Department Managers will lead by example and be expected to create a warm and safe environment for all those who visit our stores.

Skill Requirements
Qualifications:

Must have previous Produce Management experience.
• Excited by a challenge.
• A self-starter, responsible, dependable, honest and trustworthy.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with management and vendors to develop and maintain positive relationships.
• Capable of developing and maintaining creative produce layout and effective product merchandising.
• Participate in the recruitment of excellent employees.
• Create and maintain positive working relationships and a supportive small team environment. Achieve and sustain accountability with employees.
• Actively participate in the coaching, training and supervision of employees.
• Good communicator, bi-lingual English/Spanish is a positive
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends to meet the needs of a very busy retail grocery environment.
• Able to lift and carry at least 45 pounds.
• Great at multi-tasking.
