Equipment Engineering Tech II - CVD
Location: Gresham, OR 97030

Job Purpose:
Microchip Technology Gresham Equipment Engineering Department has an opening for an Equipment Engineering Technician. This position will support Fab 4 maintenance of Semiconductor Manufacturing equipment; be able to work effectively in a team environment and practice good trouble-shooting skills on the Front-End Nights Compressed work week.

Duties include but are not limited to:
*Repair Watkins Johnson, Novellus and Applied CVD systems. Work with systems containing radiation, electrical, mechanical, liquid and gas hazards.
* Practice effective and productive written and verbal communication.
* Self-motivation and integrity to work with little or no supervision.
* Maintain an attitude of willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.

Skill Requirements
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum AA degree or equivalent military training, technical diploma, or experience. Minimum five years experience in Equipment Maintenance with two years experience performing PM’s Watkins Johnson or Novellus tools. Previous experience on Applied CVD tools desirable. Additional experience in other fab maintenance areas also desirable.

Special Requirements:
Must pass ERT physical and participate on ERT Team. Must be able and willing to travel for training purposes.

Critical Physical Requirements:
Able to lift, push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 50 lbs; sit 5%; stand 60%; walk 35%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors, dust or gases.
