Job Description
Assists in preparation and delivery of commercial washers and dryers to apartments and colleges. Approximately 20 hours per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Deliver and install laundry equipment 2. Drive a truck to deliver washers and dryers 3. Prepare equipment for delivery, including minor rebuilding work 4. Load and unload delivery trucks using 2-wheeled hand cart to move equipment 5. Receive, move and load washers and dryers as directed 6. Keep all equipment and warehouse areas clean and in good order REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 1. Good driving record 2. Good oral communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers and/or dryers 2. Ability to handle and maneuver laundry equipment weighing from 80 to 200 lbs including up/down stairs. 3. Ability to lift 100 pounds 20 times per day 4. Ability to walk numerous levels of stairs 5. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs 175 ft 6. Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 lbs. QUALIFICATIONS 1. High School Diploma (or equivalent) 2. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
