Job Description

We are a manufacturer that produces custom molded and extruded rubber parts for business and government in diverse industries such as hydro, transportation, and heavy equipment. We are seeking an Estimator / Inside Sales Representative. The primary duties of this individual are quoting projects and pricing custom made parts, customer service and order entry: • Prepares and submits quotations to customers and cost analysis. • Sources out materials and information needed to quote customers. • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firms production and delivery schedules. • Prepares and enters orders into the computer system and files. • Reviews orders and recommends purchases for direct customer buy-out and raw materials for production. • Fields telephone customer care and sales calls, and makes telephone calls to customers to develop new and repeat business, and to discuss various product-related issues. • Manages assigned accounts. • Works with other departments to resolve issues. Other responsibilities are knowledge of combany products and fabrication processes, ability to read and interpret work orders, prints, diagrams, and engineering drawings, and maintaining paperwork and documentation.
Skill Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent college and experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This position requires superior knowledge of accessing and using the internet, Microsoft Word and Excel. Qualified candidates will also have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Comfortable with both metric and imperial measuring systems.
